Reminiscing...

The picture at the top has nothing to do with this post, I just thought it was cute! Scott and I were talking last night and remembering the days of college and being involved in Campus Outreach and going to SBP. Some friends of ours went to project this weekend and led worship for the project. We started trying to think of the classic songs that we used to sing like "Jesus, Take me...make me...", and "Cast your burdens...clap, clap, clap,...onto Jesus..., and "Lean Not...", etc. There were a ton that we thought of and several that we couldn't remember for the life of us! So, all you CO alumni, feel free leave comments of song titles that you remember along the way. I'm hoping you'll come up with some of the ones I can't remember!

Mark Spivey,Nick and I discussed one of the songs at worship practice Sunday. Nick said he never understood why everyone leaned when the song said "lean not on your own understanding!"Never though of it that way, I think we all just were trying to have the most fun possible!!I'll post song title when I have more time.

annie-this does bring back some great memories...matt and I do the same thing every once in a while thinking of songs (he played the guitar with Troy's praise team some)but I probably remember more songs than he does! the main songs that come to my mind are "light the fire" (aren't there 2 different ones?)and one me and matt always laugh about is one we sang in Sun. School at Troy FBC-so ask Scott if he remembers this one-"Carrier, carrier, Jesus is a carrier, it's alright, it's alright" it makes me laugh b/c there was a cowbell played in that one! great memories and good times! i know there are so many more, but this comment would be way too long!!

Annie, the one I LOVE, I'm thinking Steven Salter wrote it but might be wrong-My Heart Belongs to You. I also love Lord You Have My Heart.

Thanks for the memories!!!

Yoooooou alone are father, and yoooooou alone are good, Yooooooou alone are saviour, yoooooou alone are God. I'm alive, I'm alive,...

I always loved that one. And senior year we started singing Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere- love that too. I'm laughing so hard at the 'carrier, carrier' song Carrie rememembered- I hadn't thought about that in FOREVER!

How about the other song (besides one version of Light the Fire) that I can play... "There is one naaame under heaven, wherebyyyy we must be saved..."

You may need a Carrier, but I have just got to have more cowbell!

Peace,
